The Bar Council recently approved suitable amendments to the Senior Counsel Protocol and the Guide to Practical Aspects of Senior Counsel Applications.
Professional indemnity insurance policies 2012-2013
The attorney general approves the type of PII policies, the level of insurance provided by the policies and the terms of the policies which can be offered to the NSW Bar. For 2012-13 the minimum level of PII insurance that a NSW barrister must take out is $1.5 million.
